You got your first mosquito bite yesterday, you were SO excited.
You walked out of the house this morning in short sleeves & sandals, and you weren’t cold.
As you look out of the window at this moment, the sun is shining on the glowing green grass.
The only thing you can think about is summer..
But first you are going to graduate. You are going to walk across a stage on a football field, in a gym or in an arena with friends with whom you have learned, grown up, and made memories.
Over the next month you have so much to do: luncheons, ceremonies, senior projects, graduation announcements, senior Sunday, and much much more.
Through all of the chaos and craziness of concluding senior year, I want you to stay focused on Me. I want you especially in times like these to yearn for Me and search for Me.
So for all of you drawing near to high school graduation, here are some things James wrote by My inspiration to help you stay focused on the goal of Heaven.
When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
During this extremely stressful time, “How is God going to use this to make me stronger and make my endurance grow?” Because I promise I will. “Let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete needing nothing.” — James 1:4
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you…
During this time, you need wisdom — whether you are picking a college, major, or roommate — you need wisdom. I know all things; I even know the number of hairs on your head. If you ask in faith, I will give you what you need. It may not be what you think you need or want, but I promise it will be what you really need.
There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when He judges you.
When someone pulls out in front of you when you’re in a hurry to get somewhere, be merciful. They are probably in a hurry, too. This is a busy and stressful time for a lot of people, so what a grand opportunity to show others your love for me and my love for others by loving them and being merciful.
Come close to Me, and I will come close to you.
Cling to me. Wake up every morning, and say “Not today Satan. You will not keep me from having a good day today because my God loves me, and He will not let me down.” Humble yourself before Me, be sincere in your repentance, and I will lift you up.
How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.
This life is temporary. In the whole scheme of things, your life is so so small. Especially this one month of so many months you have lived/will live. Take advantage of every single opportunity you have to give Me glory and to tell others about me.
Please trust me. I am going to take care of you. As your senior year is coming to an end, don’t forget about Me. Don’t forget that I brought you to this point. Everything you have is because of me, and I love you more than you could ever imagine. I am so proud to call you my child. I am so proud of everything you have accomplished. I can’t wait to put you to use at your college. You are going to do great things through my name. I love you.
All the chaos comes together in Your hands like a masterpiece and Your picture perfect plan
